Rated 4 out of 5 by Wayne from Amazing amount of Technology for a fair Price I have worked as a photographer for 40 years and retired 2 months ago and bought this as a camera to have fun with. I have owned literally hundreds of cameras and once in a while one comes up that catches your eye and this was it.

If you own or have owned Nikons the cameras controls are very intuitive, the weight of the camera is light yet well balanced. The focus is quick and the zoom is remarkable but at the same time the one area with a learning curve. I thought the lens quality is wonderful. I have not shot a huge amount of images with it but so far Im happy with it. One observation is once lens has a longer extension a monopod comes in handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LINWOOD B from Great if you know how to use it best FIRST: A MUST! Turn the NR (Noise Reduction) to LOW. You will be much happier with the sharpness of your photos. Somehow the NR affects the photos more than with the P900. I wish the menu allowed us to turn it off completely.

Noise reduction should be done in post-processing and before you do any more with the photo. Also, with full or near full zoom, make sure your shutter speed is high. When I use my elbows as a tripod, I still see much better sharpness with 1/200 shutter speed or above. ISO 200 works great. More with a later review.
